NEW YORK, NY - Local comedy fan Greg Hern has declared the Lyceum Theatre his favorite “alt” comedy venue after seeing Oh, Hello! And Oh, Mary! at the same venue in recent years.

“It really is the best spot to check out something a little… different,” noted Hern, who on one hand could probably find some shows in Park Slope - but on the other hand, do those shows have Cole Escola? “I don’t care for those comedy club acts, like Book of Mormon. Give me the kinda weirdo freak energy you can only find east of the Disney store.”

At press time, Hern was seen contemplating the “alt” status of former Lyceum tenant The Play That Goes Wrong, while DM’ing photos of the theatre with the caption “you down?” to Tim Robinson.

This is hilarious! I can totally relate to Greg wanting something a bit weirder than the usual stuff. It's cool that some folks are so passionate about comedy venues. Now if only there was a Royal Match walkthrough for navigating the NYC comedy scene...
