NEW YORK, NY - Local theatre fan Patricia Leguat expressed her sadness today over the announced retirement of actor and game show host Wayne Brady, clearly mishearing following reports that famed NFL quarterback Tom Brady is the actual one retiring, the distraught woman confirmed.
“I guess I never thought actors could retire so young. Everyone keeps mentioning that he’s one of the oldest to ever do it… but like… do they know who Anthony Hopkins is?” questioned Leguat, unsure why the number of rings Mr. Brady owns has anything to do with the news. “They keep mentioning the strain his career’s taken on his body. I had no idea Let’s Make a Deal was so intense.”
At press time, Leguat was sending warm wishes to Wayne Brady and his wife, supermodel Gisele Bündchen. She’s hopeful that news stations will show some clips from Brady’s work in Kinky Boots and Hamilton as soon as they stop talking about some football man.
