Hollywood, CA - On the heels of Fox and Disney's historic merger and the casting of Hugh Jackman in Broadway's 2020 revival of "The Music Man", 20th Century Fox announced today the surprise casting of two-time Tony winner Sutton Foster as the X-Men franchise's claw-wielding hero Wolverine.
"Sutton is the perfect choice," noted 20th Century Fox Chairman Stacy Snider. "She can sing, she can dance, and she can charm the audience like no other - now she'll also have the chance to use large bone claws to cut the throats of nameless henchmen for many films to come. It's a classic 'from stage to screen' move for her."
The studio also teased a possible Avengers/X-Men crossover featuring even more Broadway talent, such as Andrew Rannells as the new Captain America, and Patti LuPone as The Hulk, because, you get it.
