A COUNTRY ROAD, NY. – Looking to see one of New York’s hottest tickets on a budget? Well, you’re in luck! The current Broadway revival of Waiting for Godot has announced $25 rush tickets for the remainder of the run.
Unfortunately, they’re not available this evening, but surely tomorrow.
“We’re thrilled to be making Broadway a little more accessible,” said lead producer Jill Pozzniac, while tightening the rope on an intern she referred to as The Creature. “And getting the tickets is easy: simply come to The Road at The Time when the tickets are available, and the tickets will be available. Pretty straightforward!”
Some fans have been lining up for these tickets before they were seemingly announced.
“I would check in at the box office every day, and they’d tell me that I was at the wrong place, and that I needed to find a tree,” said Gordon Gopnik, while sucking on a root vegetable he referred to as his Lucky Carrot. “When I asked them which tree, they’d physically shut my mouth with their hands and whisper in my ear ‘You know the one.’ Anyway, that’s why I’ve been waiting outside the storage space where they’re holding Idina’s redwood from Redwood for the past two weeks.”
As many have had confusion as to where and when the rush tickets would be available, we at The Broadway Beat followed up with producer Pozzniac. She offered her intern to speak on her behalf.
“When in relation to the works of Hauptmann and Wroczyk we find the finding of the themes of a personal rush quaquaquaqua would not could not dare not think on on on on on on on to the next chapter on on on on on on on to the next verse we say that we said,” said the intern, who Pozzniac insisted we also refer to as The Creature, even though they had a nametag that said “Chet.”
“Therefore, if the thoughts persists quaquaquaqua that the ticket cacacacacacannot be found then therefore the thought is thinking itself back to Hauptmann and Wroczyk, of whom there isn’t a space to find the space inside the hole inside the whorl inside the brackish flumes.”
“There,” said Pozzniac while silencing The Creature with a turnip. “That ought to clear up any confusion folks have.”
At time of reporting, Gopnik had not received tickets, but he wasn’t discouraged.
“Still feels like better odds than TodayTix.”
