Mom Receives Gift of Afternoon Spent Wrangling Four Kids at "Lion King" Matinee

NEW YORK, NY - As a celebration of her tireless efforts as a mother, Barbara Peters was treated to a Mother’s Day bonanza that involved bringing four kids to matinee of The Lion King with no help from her husband.
“My wife deserves the world,” said Peters’ husband Clark, who clarified that “world” meant a three-transfer subway ride to Times Square. “Every single day she takes care of our family with a smile on her face, so I thought it’d be perfect to include that family in her big Mother’s Day Gift. Not me - I’ve got plans - but the thing that makes her a mother: our three beautiful children, oh and one of their friends.”
Barbara, who missed the entire second act consoling her eight year-old daughter Eve after Mufasa died, said she was oh-so-thankful for her husband’s magnanimous generosity.
“There’s nothing I’d rather do than drag four elementary schoolers across two boroughs to see a musical based on a movie we have on DVD,” said Peters while apologizing to the usher who returned her five year-old son who had wandered down the aisle. “I’m so painfully ecstatic that my husband ignored my entire wish list and surprised me with these tickets. And invited a friend! Thanks babe!”
Jen Hansen, who sat in front of the Peters family (and a friend), was perplexed by what was happening behind her.
“At first I was angry when the kids started kicking my seat, and even angrier when they kept saying Circle of Farts,” stated Hansen while reminding herself to refill her birth control prescription. “Then I felt bad, because this nanny has to take care of all these kids by herself. But then they called her Mom, and I was like, WTF? Did she lose a bet? Like, I almost hope her husband is dead? That’s the only reason I can think of why he isn’t the one here.”
Barbara was seen leaving the theater and wearily telling the kids they could get dinner at the Times Square Olive Garden. She was spotted checking a text from her husband asking her to grab milk on the way home.
